Start it @KBC published its first list of ‘50 Women to Watch’, a selection of fifty female entrepreneurs from over five hundred female founders who participated in the accelerator program in the past 12 years. Elegnano founder, Katrien Herdewyn, was one of the 50 women entrepreneurs on the list, alongside 49 other inspiring Belgian founders. Katrien was a laureate of the program in the very early stages of the incubator in 2015-2016 and supported Start it @KBC as a mentor in recent years.
With this initiative, the organization aims to make female role models more visible and inspire more women to start their own businesses. According to founder and CEO Lode Uytterschaut, the debate surrounding entrepreneurship has often focused on inequality and obstacles in recent months. With this list, the accelerator aims to broaden the perspective by concretely placing successful female entrepreneurs in the spotlight.
