To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the King Baudouin Foundation has published Faces of Hope (NL: Hoopgevers, FR: Les visages de l'espoir), a book bringing together 50 stories of people and initiatives that have helped create positive change in Belgium and beyond. Founded in 1976, the Foundation has become one of the country's most influential philanthropic organisations, supporting thousands of projects and helping ideas grow into lasting impact.

We are proud that Katrien Herdewyn, founder of Elegnano, was interviewed together with her mentee Lucie Gulcu, as one of the 50 people featured in the book. As a former laureate of the Prince Albert Fund, an initiative of the Foundation that develops future international business leaders, Katrien experienced firsthand how investing in talent can create opportunities that extend far beyond one individual's career. Today, she gives back to that community as a mentor to laureate, Lucie Gulcu, and as a member of the Fund's steering committee.

The Foundation's network spans thousands of donors, experts, entrepreneurs, researchers, volunteers, and changemakers. For its 50th anniversary, 50 stories were selected to illustrate the ripple effects of that collective effort. The collector's item is available in 4 languages via the King Baudouin Foundation: https://kbs-frb.be/en/faces-hope
